What is a QR code?
QR stands for "Quick Response." A QR code is like a 2-dimensional barcode and is primarily used to let smartphones and other camera-equipped mobile devices easily link to web content from a variety of sources, including magazines, newspapers, and other media. Rather than type in a long URL, it is much easier to scan a QR code using one of many free or paid apps that instantly recognize a QR code and open the URL in your mobile browser.
On Bplay, we use QR codes to detect your device model from the desktop site and to direct you to our mobile checkout system. In future, we may find other creative uses for QR codes. Got an idea? Let us know!

How do I scan QR codes?
All you need is a BlackBerry with a camera and an app that can use your camera to recognize a QR code. BlackBerry models running the BlackBerry OS 5 can use the "Scan group barcode" feature in BlackBerry Messenger, or you can download one of many excellent QR and barcode scanning apps.
One that works well with a variety of barcodes is ScanLife (download at http://2dscan.com ). Start up your QR-friendly app and point your BlackBerry's camera at the QR code, holding the phone as still as possible and filling the screen as much as possible with the QR code. Some apps will sense the QR code immediately, while others require you to take a picture of the code. Either way, once the code is recognized, you're on your way to the encoded URL. After a little practice, scanning QR codes becomes a simple and useful way to get mobile content, which is a good thing, as we see QR codes appearing in print, web, and even television!

Why is Bplay using QR codes?
Bplay's checkout process takes place solely on the mobile device, so getting desktop users seamlessly from our catalog to the BlackBerry is important. QR codes are the most elegant way we found to accomplish this.

I have installed a theme but it doesn't show up in my THEME menu so I cannot activate it.
If your theme has downloaded successfully and shows in the applications list but not in your themes list you may have one of the following symptoms:
- Not enough free memory. You can free some up by removing unused pictures or tones from your device.
- Default Dimension themes are not installed. The base theme for a particular style needs to be on the device in order for the theme to work; ie: a Today theme needs Dimension Today, a Zen theme needs Dimension Zen. Everyone should have all 3 Dimension themes (icon, zen, today) since some of our themes are not a particular style. This does NOT apply to the following devices (8220, 8230, 8350i, 8900, 9000, 9500/9530 and 9630)
- Battery not pulled, or not pulled for long enough after download. It should be at least a 15 second pull.
- You may need to contact your service provider to update your device to the latest Operating System (OS). Or you can visit the following link to check the BlackBerry website if they have an update:
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/devices/#tab_tab_overview
- Try editing the permissions for the theme. In some cases after installation it might not have what it needs to be properly recognized. Navigate (from the home screen) to Options>Advanced Options>Applications>[THEME]>Edit Permissions. Set them all to allow and then reset your device.

Why isn't my Game, Theme, Application, or Ringtone in my previous purchases?
Unfortunately when you change your device, or use the regeneration tool, we are not able to guarantee that your software will work with your new device or still be available at that time. While we strive to make all of our games compatible with as many devices as possible there will be some that cannot, due to technical issues, be ported to newer devices.
